About the Band

Our Story

Jet Jaguar was born in 2014 on the beaches of Cancún with a clear mission: to take Mexican heavy metal to new heights. The band's name is inspired by the robot Jet Jaguar from the Godzilla franchise, as well as the jaguar, a sacred animal in Mayan civilization. From its inception, the band has shown an unwavering passion for classic metal, combining elements of speed metal and hard rock to create a unique and powerful sound.

In February 2016, Jet Jaguar released their debut EP "Zero Hour" under the Mexican label Sade Records, featuring five powerful songs that captured the attention of the Mexican metal scene. With aggressive riffs, searing vocals, and unstoppable energy, the band quickly established itself as a force to be reckoned with.

The defining moment came in August 2017, when Jet Jaguar became the first Spanish-speaking band to win the prestigious Wacken Open Air Metal Battle in Germany. This historic victory opened the doors to their first European tour, taking them through Germany, the Netherlands, Belgium, Poland, Hungary, and Romania.

The release of "Endless Nights" on July 17, 2020, through Pride & Joy Music marked the band's artistic maturity with their first full-length studio album. This ten-track album not only solidified their position in Mexico but also opened doors to international audiences. The band has shared the stage with legendary acts such as Ozzy Osbourne, Scorpions, Megadeth, Deep Purple, and Judas Priest at major festivals like Corona Hell and Heaven and Tecate Mexico Metal Fest.

However, the road has not been easy. In recent years, Jet Jaguar has had to overcome numerous setbacks, including the difficult years of lockdown, a change of vocalist, and a serious traffic accident in 2024 during their tour with Anvil. But with willpower and perseverance, the band members have continued to pursue their dreams.

In January 2025, Jet Jaguar signed with the prestigious German label Steamhammer/SPV, a major milestone for the Mexican band. On October 24, 2025, they released "Severance," their second studio album. With the addition of new vocalist and guitarist Raiden Løzenthäll, whose flexible vocal style incorporates both melodic singing and death metal growls, the band demonstrates significant musical evolution. With singles like "Eternal Light," "Mach 10," and "Fool's Paradise," Jet Jaguar solidifies its position as one of the most promising metal bands of 2025.
